Who is not eligible for aesthetic treatments?
Anyone who is under 18 years old (if you are lucky enough to look this young you will be asked for a passport or other id to verify). Anyone who is pregnant or breastfeeding. Anyone with a fish allergy is not suitable for Polynucleotide injections.
How do I prepare for an upcoming treatment?
If you are able to, please stop any medication 7 days prior to your appointment that can increase your risk of bleeding e.g. Aspirin, Ibuprofen, Garlic and fish oil, Vit C, Vit E, Gingko Biloba. Do not stop medication if recommended to take for a medical reason.
Avoid using 'active skincare' products e.g. Retinol, AHA/BHAs, for 3 days pre procedure.
Avoid heavy exercise 24 hrs prior to your appointment.
Avoid alcohol consumption 24 hrs prior.
On the day advice
Please have your face clean and make -up free.
Take paracetamol and a non-drowsy antihistamine 1 hr prior to your appointment.
What happens during a typical treatment?
You will have a comprehensive consultation with The Wrinkle Fairy, we understand that every patient is unique, which is why we take the time to develop personalized treatment plans that are tailored to your individual needs and goals. Consent and photos will be taken (not to be shared without your agreement of course). The area(s) will be numbed using a cream and then cleaned. After around 20 minutes the treatment will be performed using gentle yet skilful techniques the Wrinkle Fairy has honed over years of experience.
What are common side effects?
Pinpoint bruising, redness, swelling, and small bumps or tenderness at the injection sites. These typically resolve on their own within 24 to 72 hours. Plan your treatments to allow plenty of recovery time (two weeks) before any special events or meetings.
Aftercare
Avoid touching the treated areas, strenuous exercise, applying makeup, sun exposure, hot baths or jacuzzies and consuming alcohol for 24 hours.
You may apply a cold compress to help reduce swelling.

What is Microneedling?
